Our Mission

Long ago, the fabled Ninth Legion of Rome disappeared from imperial memory after ending its service in ancient Brittania. Unlike most other military units from the empire, the Ninth vanished from all official and spoken record, save for what scraps we have today to ascertain its existence. Scholars still debate whether the mighty legion was destroyed in battle, disbanded by the Roman senate, or simply vanished into the dark forests of the great north, all of which has both validity and critique in the historical timeline. Regardless of its true fate, the Ninth has become the stuff of legends, inspiring storytellers from around the world to ponder as to where the legionaries went, and why they were lost to the mists of time.
